This article argues that the concept of the flipped classroom should be applied to the workplace. The article mentions that workers only work approximately three hours per day on average due to multi-tasking and unexpected distractions. The article claims that knowledge work can be performed at home, whereas time in the office should capitalize on task elements requiring collaboration such as brainstorming and asking questions. Consequently, the article suggests that supervisors should become facilitators instead of overseers. The article concludes that the flipped workplace will soon become an employee demand that will be necessary for any organization wanting to recruit and retain top talent.
